Who we are

Ember & Table is a restaurant at Oost-Wijnstraat 24 in Rotterdam. Questions about your data? Email info@emberandtable.nl.

What we collect and why

The waitlist. When you sign up, we keep your first name, your email address, when you signed up and confirmed, and the IP address you signed up from (as proof of your signup). We use this to let you book first, to tell you when we open and to send you news now and then. In our emails we measure whether they are opened and which links are clicked, so we can see what works.

Emails to us. If you email us about a group, a private dinner or anything else, we only use your details to reply.

Your visit to the site. Our hosting keeps technical data, such as your IP address, to keep the site secure and available. We also count visits anonymously, without cookies and without being able to recognise you. Only if you accept cookies do we also use Google Analytics and the Meta pixel.

Legal basis

For the waitlist and for cookies we ask for your consent. You can withdraw it at any time: with the unsubscribe link in every email, through the cookie settings at the bottom of the page, or by emailing us. We reply to your emails and keep the site secure because we have a legitimate interest in doing so.

Services we use

• Laposta (the Netherlands), for the waitlist and our emails.
• Vercel, for hosting the site and the anonymous visitor numbers.
• Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics, only with your consent.
• The Meta pixel of Facebook and Instagram, only with your consent.

We have agreements with these companies about protecting your data. Some of the processing may take place in the United States. That is covered by the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or by the European Commission's standard contractual clauses. We never sell your data.

How long we keep data

• Waitlist and newsletter: for as long as you are subscribed. If you unsubscribe, or never confirm your signup, we delete your details within three months.
• Emails to us: for as long as we need to handle your question.
• Technical data at our hosting: briefly, for security and fixing problems.
• Google Analytics: data is deleted after 14 months.

Cookies

Without your consent we set no tracking or marketing cookies. We only remember your cookie choice, in your browser's storage, so we don't ask on every visit. After a year we ask again.

If you accept cookies:

• Google Analytics (_ga, _ga_*): to see how visitors use the site. Kept for up to two years.
• Meta pixel (_fbp): to measure how many signups come from our ads on Facebook and Instagram, and to show ads for Ember & Table to people who visited the site. Kept for three months.

Your rights

You may see, correct or delete your data. You can also object, ask for a copy to take elsewhere, or withdraw your consent. Email info@emberandtable.nl to do so. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Dutch Data Protection Authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.

Changes

If we change this statement, you will see it in the date at the top.
